Anti-plagiarism and analysis criteria

Anti-plagiarism tool

The Iberoamerican Environment & Sustainability Journal (RIAS), in order to guarantee the originality of its articles, recognizes documents that are not unpublished, indicating their source.

iThenticate

The Magazine verifies the veracity of the proposals that have been sent to it by the authors, through the anti-plagiarism program iThenticate, which is a system that contrasts the content of these manuscripts with information published on the Internet, printed sources and its own archive, made up of articles and research from all academic levels. The RIAS only admits those texts that contain up to 10% similarity.

 Valuation criteria

Plagiarism is understood as the use of ideas, graphics, phrases, and paragraphs of published works without explicitly acknowledging their authorship, to differentiate the original work from the cited work. Plagiarism is committed when, intentionally or unintentionally, other people's works are presented as their own, which is a total lack of the academic integrity of the authors, which is not admitted by the journal. In this sense, with the intention of ensuring the veracity and reliability of the manuscripts, the Editorial Board of the Iberoamericana Environment & Sustainability Journal (RIAS), in conjunction with the Scientific Council of the Iberoamerican Environment Network (REIMA A. C.), is governed by the following criteria:

Analysis criteria

To guarantee the authenticity and correct origin of the document information, acceptable similarity parameters and certain guidelines regarding the percentage have been established.

It is emphasized that, after manually reviewing the delivered document, it is corroborated that the citations and texts are correctly referenced, or failing that, if it is truly a plagiarism of the information; this judgment must be determined by the analysts or coordinators in charge of checking the manuscript.
