Impacto dos coletores solares de calha parabólica na indústria açucareira do Guairá na redução do consumo insustentável de biomassa

O objetivo desta investigação foi avaliar o impacto da instalação da tecnologia de coletores solares de calha parabólica na indústria açucareira do Departamento de Guairá, a principal região produtora de cana-de-açúcar do Paraguai, na redução do consumo de lenha das florestas nativas. Através do processamento de dados climatológicos da cidade de Tebicuary, obtidos a partir da ferramenta Photovoltaic Geographical Information System (PVGIS), dimensionou-se um campo solar para ser inserido num processo de hibridização ao sistema de cogeração de uma fábrica de açúcar. Com isto, estabeleceu-se um modelo híbrido, cuja resposta à irradiação solar foi simulada com o software Transient System Simulation Tool (TRNSYS). O recurso solar do local é suficiente para obter vapor saturado para ser sobreaquecido a alta pressão. A implementação da tecnologia solar através deste modelo permitiria poupar anualmente uma área de florestas nativas entre 42.252,58 ha e 79.223,59 ha para consumo médio e máximo de energia auxiliar respectivamente. Os resultados obtidos constituem uma referência em termos de utilização de recursos solares com potencial impacto positivo no ambiente, estudos semelhantes podem ser realizados noutras indústrias e zonas do país.
